Internal Training Held on the Application of the Enhanced Audit Methodological Framework

An internal training session dedicated to the application of the enhanced audit methodological framework was held at the Office for Audit of European Union Funds Management Systems from 10 to 14 July 2026.

The training forms part of the Office’s ongoing activities aimed at strengthening the professional capacities of its staff and harmonising audit practices. The methodological framework governing the work of the AA, which comprises the Code of Ethics, the Procedure for Managing Conflict of Interest, the IPA III Audit Manual, the Quality Management Manual and the Human Resources Manual, was adopted in November 2025 with the aim of further improving the audit methodology and aligning it with international professional standards and European Commission guidelines.

During the training, the key innovations were revisited and practical issues related to the application of these documents were discussed, with particular emphasis on their interconnections and consistent application in audit work. Through interactive discussions and the exchange of experience, staff considered challenges encountered in practice and opportunities for further improvement.

Internal training sessions will continue in the coming period as part of the continuous professional development programme for staff and the further enhancement of the AA’s quality management system.
